Annual Review 2009-2010

Dear Supporter,

This has been yet another eventful and rewarding year for AFP, which has been inspiring communities to work for a better world. We have focused on further strengthening our three programmes, Paropkaar (International Volunteering), Jagruti (Development Awareness) and Daan (sustainable giving) which are detailed in our Annual Review 2009-2010.

AFP has seen a successful year having been awarded its second grant from the Department for International Development (DFID) to undertake work with young people on ethical fashion and the value attached to their clothes. We also undertook our first 10k run, which resulted in much needed funds for our partner organisations. Our work in the UK included a ‘Dine in the Dark’ dinner that raised awareness of visual impairment, and our volunteering programme made huge strides in the education sector.

AFP firmly believes that each individual can make a contribution to development in India, be it through Paropkaar and giving your time, or through supporting AFP at one of our Jagruti events or by donating money.

We would like to thank all our donors, supporters, volunteers and trustees for their continued support and look forward to another year of inspired communities and successes.
